FUJIN NINE

For our final high school computer engineering project we were to build a line following robot. I had essentially done that the year before, and you know me. I saw this as another oporutunity to expand my skillset and decided to build a custom FPV racing drone. Unfortunantly I don't have much footage of the drone itself as I was constantly travelling to compete and participate in my competetive robotics season. The other issue is that I don't really know it's FULL capabilities - I don't exactly have the proper equipment or licensing to figure that out (yet).

Barebones Fujin Nine prototype

Features

  • Custom carbon-fiber frame and 3D printed mounts.
  • Live FPV video transmission.
  • Capable of 130km/h+ speeds, incredibly durable.

Fun fact: The first test flight with Fujin Nine was very short. It flew about 30 feet forward into my laptop in the blink of an eye and obliterated it. Miraculously, the drone was not damaged, can't say the same about my wallet. There was a lot of bubble wrap used in the next test flight.
